Shipwreck Bead Store update

Sorry, I keep forgetting to update how our shopping trip to Shipwreck beads went last Friday. We had a good time, there were 6 of us, we spent a couple hours shopping then went to lunch and chatted for a bit longer. When we all went our our separate ways, Ginny and I did some shopping at Costco then went to the Tacoma Mall and spent another couple hours before heading home. The weather wasn't the best but we had a good day. Here is what I bought at the bead store not to much but then again when you are looking at everything its a little overwhelming.

Have had a nasty sore throat that worked it's way into a killer cold. I'm still not feeling totally human but I'm getting there. Yesterday I decided to do more than just watch tv. Here is what I made for my daughter, another tote bag. It's the same basic pattern I used for the other tote only done in 2 fabrics instead of the charm pack that the pattern calls for. I hope she likes it now that it's done.

Happy Spring everyone.

Nothing really to update on today I've not been feeling to good, sore throat and headache. The last ort/thread bag I finished has now reached it's new owner Eva and she loves it. Happy belated Birthday Eva.
My daughter and I are headed to a GTG of sorts today. We are going to Shipwreck Beads in Lacey WA and meeting up with a few lady's from our OR/WA stitch group that live in the area. Here is the web address if anyone would like check it out. www.shipwreckbeads.com This place is huge 80,000 sq feet and over 8.3 billion beads in stock.

I've been busy this morning, I finished my daughters tote bag. She wanted the sweet cherry fabric and I quilted the squares using pink thread so that we would have pink flamingos. I hope when she gets home and sees it finished she will like it, if not I have a new bag. LOL

Saturday was a watch old movies and stitch kind of day, this little reindeer is about all that got done. This was a freebie at http://aurytm.com/blog/ she has lots of others that are just as cute and fun to stitch. I hope to get other things done today and maybe start on my new project "Croakworth" by Ink Circles.

March 9 or Jan 9th LOL!

Does this look funny or what ? This is what it has been doing for the last 5 min and its sticking!
Well, yesterday I got very little done. :) My daughter wants me to make her a tote bag. She picked out the fabric and purchased it on Thursday. I told her as my payment she gets to buy me lunch. So yesterday we went to the Casino (about 1 or so from us) and had Sunday brunch and played the slots ($5). They have the best brunch buffet, crab legs, shrimp, clams, ham, roast beef, eggs, pancakes, waffles and lots more. We didn't even make it to the deserts. We had a very nice time and on the way home we stopped at the outlet mall and I bought a couple new bras and a new shirt. The only bad thing about the day was the weather we had to drive in snow, sleet, rain and during all that the sun was shining, go figure. Well off to get caught up on somethings that didn't get touched yesterday and then do today's stuff.

Have a good day everyone!

Global warming???

Okay I checked the calendar twice and today is Sunday March 8 th 2009 and there is snow on the ground again. Okay I understand that Spring has not sprung yet but here in Washington where I live we do not get snow this late in the year, in fact we don't usually get much snow at all. My house sits below sea level in what they call a banana belt or some such thing so why all the snow? Here is a photo of my car I know it doesn't show much snow now 'cause its melted I should have taken the photo when I got up 3 hours ago but it has taken me this long to warm up. LOL
I think I will go take a hot shower and have some hot chocolate then maybe do some stitching this white stuff is depressing I'm more than ready for some good old fashion Washington Rain!

See what I made myself. :) It's a charm pack quilted tote bag. This is the first time I have made a quilted bag and it was lots of fun. It took me about 3 days of cutting and sewing but I think it is well worth it. It's a large bag that I think will be perfect for my stitching GTG that I love going to so much.
In other news last night I went to my 3rd water aerobics class. It's 45min and when you get out of the pool boy are your legs tired. Last night my legs felt like they must weigh at least 500 pounds. I'm doing pretty good this morning and hope to continue with the classes again next week. So on Mon, Wed and Thur nights I will be going to bed early. LOL
Well off to get some house work done as I didn't really do to much yesterday. Then I think I will go to the quilt store and get some more fabric to make another bag.

Yesterday was a good day, we had a bit of rain but lots more sun, maybe Spring is on its way. I finished up Kim's tote that matches her ort bag and got them in the mail to her. I also mailed out Sues thank you ort bag I hope she likes it (its a surprise).

I have decided I need to get serious about getting into shape. I went around town looking for a new bicycle and have found the one I'm going to get, but first I'm a bit short on the $ so need to save a bit longer. In the mean time I joined a water aerobics class last night, it meets 2 times a week and on the other days I will start up my walking again. This time my daughter has decided to join me so maybe I will be able to stay with it. This morning I can really feel the muscles I forgot about my everything hurts. LOL

Thank you Sue and Kim.
