You melt my heart

I haven't been spending much time in the sewing room as I have hurt my back but I have been spending time in my stitching chair with heating pad. This is "You melt my heart" by Ursula Michael. I started stitching this just before Valentines Day and finished it late last night. I have started another stitching project this morning called "let's be family" by the same designer I will post a photo as soon as I have enough for you to tell what it is. :)
I don't normally like to have my photo taken but I realised the other day that there are very few of me and I should have some for future scrap booking projects. So here is one of me taken the other day by my husband after getting my hair cut and colored.

Have a good day everyone and smile it confuses the masses!

          As Sweet As Peaches    ME!

I wasn't sure what I was going to do when I signed up for this hop but I went to my stash closet and started pulling fabrics and found lots that I wanted to use, so I came up with the idea of stitching seasonal Me's into a lap quilt.

I did the season names in variegated DMC hand stitching. Also did some detail stitching on the spring square to add a little life to it.
After doing the detail work I put the squares together with a friendship square in the center where I stitched ME as this is all about me. LOL

And here it is all together

And here it is all together! Finished at a cute 27 X 34.5"
I included a hanging sleeve on the back so can put it up on the sewing room wall.
I forgot to take a photo of the fabric on the back it's cute sunflowers with little blue birds and the binding fabric looks like a lake of blue berry's.

Thank you for taking the time to see what I made for the hop.

Hugs & Kisses blog hop

Woo hoo today is my day on the Hugs and Kisses blog hop.  Thanks to all that have made this happen and another thanks to all who visit.

When the hop was first announced I was working on this cross stitch chart and just knew it was meant to be. Here it is finished and on it's pillow for the living room...

I was also working on this cute little twister heart pattern. Here it is in stages and now finished it's on display at my favorite quilt shop.

This little cross stitch chicken pillow is titled "marry me?" I stitched it several years ago but just last week finished it in to a pillow, my grandson thinks it's his for nap time.
While in the sewing room I also made a little zipper bag to hold my tools for quilt classes it was made out of 4 little blocks that I didn't like for a BOM that I'm doing so they were in the discard pile and I came up with this idea and I think it's perfect as red is my favorite color.
Here is my last entry for this hop a cup cozy with matching mug rug for my daughter hoo-hoo loves owls. LOL

Don't for get to visit the other blogs that are sharing today as well.

weekend work

This is my part of a 12 lady RR that I'm doing with some stitching friends.
We could stitch the little chicken any color we wished, I choose my high school colors since we also stitched our name and the name of our town.
This is the round robin with 11 squares stitched I to go before it goes home to its owner.

I sat yesterday while I "watched" the Superbowl and stitched this little chicken with the colors my husband picked and I'm stitching another for me I will finish them into mug rugs or maybe place mats.

I also sewed the binding on this little quilted panel for a nap blanket for my sweet grandson. I will wash it and have it here as a surprise when he comes over this week, he loves trains.

Well I plan to be in the sewing room most of the day today as I'm getting some things ready for the next 2 blog hops that I signed up for. My days to post will be Feb 13 for the "Hugs and Kisses" blog hop that runs from Feb 11-15 and then Feb 22 for the "it's all about me" blog hop that runs Feb 19-28.

Have a great day everyone,

Happy Ground hog day!!

Happy Ground hog day!

I finished stitching this little guy on Thursday and finished him in to a little cushion this morning.
He was a freebie from Bent Creek a few years ago.  I've had him kitted up for a couple years don't know why it to me so long to get him stitched.

Back to the sewing room lots of projects to get done.
