Quilt finish

I started on this quilt when my grandson was very small and I finished it today. I guess I work better under pressure he needs a nap quilt for pre-school and he starts on Monday. This is very colorful and makes me smile so I hope he likes it too.
I'm not a very seasoned quilter but I loved working on this for him. I hope it doesn't fall apart in the wash. LOL

my next project

This isn't a good color match but it's the best I'm getting tonight. This is my next project, I did the counted cross stitch part a few weeks ago, not knowing what I was going to do with it. Looking at it on the ironing board I decided to make a crazy patch pillow top. I went shopping at my local quilt shop and came home with 6 fat quarters that go with it as if it was stitched for them. Now to do the crazy patch part, I'm not a quilter so this is going to be a slow process as I don't want to screw up. LOL The dark blue in the back will be the boarder and the back of the pillow. I'm not sure why I stitched this in blue and yellow it doesn't really go in any room of the house right now. We are planning on painting the living room this summer to a soft green so I think it will work in my stitching chair. Lets hope the pillow gets done before the living room as it's not on the schedule until July or first of August.

Birthday Boy

Happy 2nd Birthday to my favorite little guy!
You've had my heart in your hand since you were born.
Love you Nana.

I love you

I saw this on the back cover of a cross stitch magazine and new I had to stitch it for my daughter and grandson. "I love you to the moon and back" this is what she says to him every night when she puts him to bed.
I just love the look of it on this piece of blue fabric from my stash the floss is DMC colors called for in the chart, chart by Joan Elliott.
I'm going to have this framed for Mother's Day for my Daughter.

Round Robin stitching

A first for me this year I joined a 12 lady RR. I've stitched 2 so far and am loving it. The first pass to me I loved the chart so much I stitched my section then stitched the whole thing before passing to the next lady. That was "Herb Sampler". I decided after sending that one on that I should stitch all or at least a part of each of the 12 RR when they arrive to me for my self. So the 2nd rr arrived and I stitched my section then stitched the same little section 3 times for myself in different colors here is the piece that I will be sending on, the top right sides the one I stitched. The one in yellow and blue I stitched for my self and want to make into a quilted pillow with some pretty yellow and blue fabric I just haven't found the right ones yet (just another reason to hit the quilt shops).

it's been a while

It's been some time now since I have posted any of my stitching. I finally taken the time to take photos and post. This is one I started last year it was to by my husbands Christmas ornament put I put it down not liking the metallic thread, but I picked it up and about an hour later was done. Now to just find the perfect fabric for the back, also means he will have 2 new ornaments this year.

please

Can some of my friends help out another friend of mine?? You don't have to register or give out your email or anything like that. Norma has entered the purple quilt that she used as a breast cancer fundraiser last year in a Quilt contest. She realizes that it's not as fancy or impressive as some of the others but it's a quilt with real, true, and heartfelt meaning. The prize is a pattern and some ...fabric. Would you mind voting? The name of the quilt is "Valorie's Quilt". Thanks! http://quiltinggallery.com/2012/03/09/scrappy-triangle-quilts/?utm_source=MadMimi&utm_medium=email&utm_content=Scrappy+triangle+quilts%2C+learning+center%2C+blog+hopping+and+give-aways+&utm_campaign=Scrappy+triangle+quilts%2C+learning+center%2C+blog+hopping+and+give-aways+&utm_term=Scrappy+Triangle+Quilts
