2011 last stitch finish

Not much stitching done yesterday, I started taking down the Christmas things and it just snowballed into cleaning and such. I did however take a photo of my last stitch of 2011.

Not sure how I'm going to finish it yet, but the fabric in the back ground will be used some how, maybe a pillow. Thank you Eva I loved stitching this chart.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Today is going to be a me day. :) I'm starting a new stitching project "Snow Christmas Quaker style" by AuryTM on a lovely cashel in Amsterdam blue with the threads called for. I've been waiting to start this one for a while now because I needed to finish up some others. But today is the day I told myself it was okay to start even if everything else was not done. Everything is finished except for my husbands Christmas ornament and that is almost done except for the metallic thread that is just giving me fits so I have put it aside for today. He is okay with it not getting done as he sees my frustration with the thread and knows that I'm stubborn and it will get finished.

I need to take a couple of photos of my last finishes of the last year just haven't had the time to mess with the camera and get them up loaded, I will do that later today or tomorrow.

Off to get some stitching done before I start taking the tree down then will do some more stitching, will also post a photo of my progress tomorrow.

Spent the day working in the craft room finishing lots of ornaments and a special little box for my an exchange I joined. The fabric in the back ground is what I used on the backs of the ornaments.

My partner has now received her ornament so I can post a photo. Stitched on light blue 18ct Aida cloth the back ground fabric you see is what I used on the back of the ornament also found some real cute bead and snow flake garland for the trim.

We had a great time at the pumpkin patch with our grandson, he figured out what his rain boots are really for, look out mud puddles here he comes.

Finally a finish and just in time for the wedding of my niece. This is stitched in her wedding colors and finished as wall hanging so it can be put on the wall above the headboard of there bed. I'm also happy to report that both the bride and groom were very happy with it, so was the brides mom (my baby sister) as she is a stitcher too and knows how much time I spent on this as my free time is very limited right now.

This is the tote I just finished for my grandson and myself. This way we have our own bag when we go to the park. I'm in the process of making a small throw quilt to go with it so we have something to sit on too! I love the wild and bright colors. Hope he will like this one when he gets old enough to let me know.

happy earth day

This was not a posed photo! My daughter was taking photos of her 5wk old son and when she looked at the digital camera to see what she had this was it. He had an appointment yesterday and he now weights in at 9lbs and 8 oz. Thank you all for looking at our little turtle we just love him to bits!

Grand baby is here

My 1st grand baby arrived last night at 9:01 pm he was 6 lbs 7 oz 20 1/2 " photos to come and I'm sure lots of them :)

I'm very excited as today I bought my airline tickets for a stitching retreat I'm going to attend in July. Now what to pack I think I should get busy on that list asap! LOL
